We’re feeling nostalgic and remembering our childhood with this Peter Rabbit-inspired DIY party based on the classic nursery book of Beatrix Potter. Mommy Jen put together a sweet sweet theme for her little bunny’s baptismal party. You’ll see a lot of clever details here – from the veggie patch to the bunny tails, down to the cheese ball carrots. Are you now as curious as little Peter Rabbit was? If yes, stick around and have another dose of DIY party inspiration today!
Mommy Jen wanted to buy fresh carrots and plush bunnies to add to her party details, but wasn’t able to buy at the last minute. And who’s complaining? This DIY dessert spread looks awesome just the same.
These cute little bunny cookies were baked by Drei’s Aunt and the printables were designed by mommy Jen herself. Printables are a quick and easy way to personalize your parties! On that note, it’s amazing how the word “printables” is being thrown around in the party world nowadays. Its not even a word you can find in the dictionary! 😂
No, she didn’t buy all the M&M packs and picked out just the blues and yellows one by one. Apparently, there’s a store in Singapore that sells M&Ms by color! We’d love to have that here too!
And these creative carrot treats? Cheese balls wrapped to look like carrots! Props to mommy Jen’s creativity!
Marshmallows as “bunny tails”, how cute is that?
This mini Mr. McGregor garden is probably my favorite among mommy Jen’s DIY projects for this party. She used cupcakes from the grocery and dressed it up with fondant veggies topped with crushed Oreos made to look like soil. And take a closer look at those picket fences, what a creative way of using drawer dividers!
Mommy Jen shares her inspiration behind the theme:
I bought a Peter Rabbit book from Books for Less and that day, the Peter Rabbit baptismal theme just came to me and that moment I realized it would be perfect for Drei’s party. I then searched online for inspirations. I saw a photo of a dessert spread decorated with fresh carrots and plush bunnies. I thought it’s so simple and easy to execute. Plus I have several Peter Rabbit books sitting on the shelf that I can use. I wanted something classic and beautiful with a bit of history that my son can hold on to.
