Hands-on Celebration!: HMP’s Craft Party

In case you haven’t heard, we just turned one and of course we’re celebrating with a party! Like most first birthdays, I wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. One of the things I’m thankful for in starting HMP is meeting a lot of people online – so I figured, why not finally have a chance to meet some of you in person? It would be a nice venue too, to have people who share the same passion for crafty things and DIY all in one room.

And so the planning began! I thought of having a laid-back and fun event, filled with DIY naturally. I got in touch with Nica (one of the amazing mommies I met through HMP) who recently just started her craft workshops via Craft Party PH. We came up with a DIY decorating module that’s sure to arm every DIY mom (or dad, or sister, or just about anybody who loves to DIY!) with some skills for their upcoming DIY parties! And so, I excitedly bring you…I love to DIY, but I must admit, I’m not much of a crafter so I’m learning along with you! Together we will learn all about rubber stamp carving and using this to spruce up our loot bags and create some pretty buntings. Not only that! We get to make some mini piñatas too!

Rubber stamps are the perfect way to personalize just about any party piece you need. Can’t find the theme you’re looking for? Don’t fret! Register below or click on this link. The workshop comes with a minimal fee just to cover our moderator expenses and a workshop kit which includes carving blocks, handouts with stamp design templates, plain paper bags, assorted paper and a basic mini piñata template. Carving tools will also be included for you to take home depending on the kit you register for, but you may also borrow from Nica’s craft station during the workshop.
