Yes it’s a Star Wars party, and yes, it’s for a baby girl! We don’t see girly Star Wars parties all that often so when we do, we definitely have to share it. This one’s a DIY family affair with both mom and dad and the rest of the household working on the many details of their little party at home. Would you look at those pink ribbons on the Stormtroopers! 🎀 And those luminaries – made by daddy by spray painting plastic cups and punching holes to form daddy Darth Vader’s outline. And the pink and black color scheme! 😍 Oh I could go on and on!
Mommy Jollie details their party preps here: “The pink and black pompoms were made using crepe paper. Instead of buying ready made ones, it was cheaper to buy crepe paper and DIY. Print-outs of Star Wars characters were stuck on recycled plastic cups and glass bottles. The backdrop was made using black and neon pink cartolina. We added hand-cut Star Wars snowflakes and stars with glitters to make the backdrop pop. The husband made Darth Vader luminaries using paper cups that were spray painted black then he punched holes to create the Darth Vader outline. The garlands were made of DIY small pompoms, Star Wars print outs attached to a pink ribbon. To tie everything up to the Star Wars theme, the utensils were wrapped in “light saber” napkins. We also used my kids’ Star Wars toys to add to the décor. My favorite element of the party are the kid-friendly light sabers. These were made by using pool noodles, duct tape and electrical tape. They doubled as decors and giveaways which the kids absolutely LOVED. 🙂 ”
