There’s no denying summer’s here and a beach trip is in order! You might as well celebrate a happy occasion while you’re in the beach, right? Mommy Gilsie took advantage of their Boracay trip to celebrate Danila’s 3rd birthday; and what was supposedly just a simple beach vacation with family and friends turned out to be an awesome destination birthday party. And you know Mommy Gilsie from her monthly birthday parties, she throws one heck of a DIY celebration!
Mommy Gilsie shares this of Danila’s party in Boracay: “Having a boracay beach party is not expensive as it sounds. We got promo fares from Cebu Pacific. I flew in some light material props. For souvenirs, there are so many ref magnets and key chains in Boracay for as low as 10 pesos and the best part is you can personalize it because sellers give free name printing! No need for elaborate styling because the best decor is the pristine white sand and beautiful beach of Boracay! No extra charge for the venue, we just ordered from the menu from Hoy Panga restaurant and paid for the food. No corkage or overtime fees. You can stay as long as you want and lounge in their beach front area and let kids play sand.
I heard there is a local ordinance prohibiting set up along the beach front during day time. Luckily we walked along the beach a day before the party and saw a restaurant with tables during lunch time. It turned out, they secured a special permit that weekend for their restaurant guests. We were so lucky we were able to set up our beach party, less the hassle and at no extra costs.”
