A few weeks ago I posted about a little project I was working on with Canvas Events Space. Us DIY-party loving moms got together to come up with a series of how-to videos to help you with your next party!
I had to manage my low E.Q. just to make sure I don’t prematurely share the photos with you! But my oh my, it’s finally out! Take a look at our sweet and sassy Pretty in Pink (and Gold) DIY Dessert Spread. It took us just a little less than 30 minutes to turn this blank space…
…into this beauty! Find out how we did it in our tutorial video here, along with some of my tips on how to create your own DIY dessert spread.
But first, let’s admire these snaps taken by…me! Haha! 😂 My favorite detail has got to be the paper cup string light garland (how to video here). The pictures don’t do justice to the whimsy that the twinkling lights bring! This is a classic example of how your homemade party spreads don’t need to be grand to look pretty, or as we like to call it lately, “Instagram-worthy”. Just add a few charming details, a careful selection of snacks and sweets and you’re all set! (And by careful selection, I mean even partially sliced cakes! Sorry, my toddler couldn’t resist! Haha!)
Here I am with Monique and Tonjee, the super duo and party-loving mommas behind Canvas. Make sure you stay tuned to the blog for our tutorials on how to make these DIY tissue paper tassels and DIY paper cup string lights!

I prefer simple party spread like this. The most important thing for me is the food, I make sure that it is not just instagram-worthy but yummy too. 🙂

Such gorgeous set up. Thanks for the idea. I usually do the small items myself, the background someone else, as I’m not that confident yet in doing them. Your set up gave me an idea on how to start. =)

With a little creativity, you wouldnt imagine that those were just paper cups and japanese paper. Everything looked nice and attractive. I guess everyone can do those designs, one just need to believe he can and yes, it helps of he subscribes to diy party blogs like yours. Creativity as well counts.
