Guia’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s Birthday Party

And i said what about Breakfast at Tiffany’s? And well, that’s just what we got! This overseas DIY party is so elegantly pretty, you’d be surprised its a party for a one year old! We love it when moms think out of the box for children’s party themes. You won’t see any pinks or pastels here! Gold, black, white and silver with turquoise accents was mommy Mei’s colour palette for daughter Guia! And with that, we start the week with something chic! 

Crafty mommy Mei DIYd a lot of party details for Guia’s first birthday. This DIY invite with pop-up has got to be one of our favourites! 

More of the DIY elements: (1) Tiffany and Co. themed souvenir boxes containing yummy chocolates, assembled by mommy and daddy, (2) welcome board and menu cards (3) glittered wine bottles and flower vases (4) Photobooth backdrop.

We couldn’t believe this was a DIY dessert table when we first saw it! So chic and stylish! The buntings and fringe backdrop were homemade too!

Look at that fashionable little lady! Guia’s Holly Golighlty ensemble wasn’t off the rack, mind you! It was also a DIY project, lovingly tailored by her grandmother.

I wanted an offbeat, not-your-usual-balloons-and-cake kind of party. Also, I steered clear of the typical pink settings for girls’ party. So when I searched Pinterest for ideas, I came across Breakfast at Tiffany’s and a light bulb over my head illuminated the way forward haha!

The planning started 5 months before the event. Being in Oman was a bit of a challenge since not all resources/materials I was looking for were available in this country. The kind of turquoise-ish color that is the epitome of Tiffany and Co. was really hard to find in this area, hence, I resorted to glam it up in gold, silver, black and white theme.
