Some of us get intimated at the thought of having to plan our baby’s first birthday. Just like everything else for your little one, you want it to be special and memorable. That’s why most parents go the extra mile in celebrating when their baby turns one. Some parents, though, can’t wait a year for the celebrations to start! Take Danila’s mommy for example, who amazingly was able to come up with themed parties to celebrate her baby’s monthly birthdays! Yes, you read it right – a themed DIY party every single month!
Mommy shares that Danila’s first and second month homemade parties were “simple”. To think these already involved balloons, cake toppers and birthday banners, all of which were DIYd by mommy herself.
Perhaps enjoying her first two months of party preps, mommy decided to expand her little homemade party more for Danila’s third month with a nautical themed party. This came complete with DIY cake and cupcake toppers, medallions, birthday banner, water bottle labels, printables and more!
On Danila’s 5th month, mommy didn’t just prepare a party, but DIYd her baby’s safari outfit as well! A Japanese outfit from a pillow cover, a grass skirt from ropes and a witch hat from art papers were just among the different costumes that mommy made for her baby’s succeeding monthly birthdays.
Mommy would also personally decorate her baby’s cakes, like this one below which started out as plain white cake, but decorated with candy coated chocolates to match her polka dot theme. It was New Year’s Eve after all!
Congrats to mommy Gil Sie for being so creative with Danila’s monthly parties. These are the stuff that homemade parties are all about. Now don’t you want to see what she has planned for her baby’s first birthday? I know I do!

Thank you so much for the feature. I miss doing those monthly birthdays now that she’s one hehe. These monthly birthday parties would not be possible without the support of my hubby who also did some of the DIYs in the photos, and of course our families. Special mention to our nephews Jasper, Christian and Justin, and cousin Nerissa Barlis for their contributions 🙂 God bless Monica for such a great blog.
