It’s not everyday we get an email from South Africa, so when we do, we’d definitely love to share it with you to showcase how people are celebrating homemade parties all over the world! This one’s got snowflakes and a snowman all over it and icicles and princesses too! Read to the end to know more about how mommy Kim pulled off this look. My favorite detail has got to be the note on the loot bags which had Olaf saying “Thank you SNOW much!”
Mommy Kim shares:
On the party table, I made all of the treats myself, except for the Elsa cake – Chocolate covered Oreo’s, Blue velvet cupcakes and my most creative piece, was the Frozen cake with blue icicles made from white chocolate, which I decorated with store bough Frozen characters! The Queen Elsa cake was made by a very good friend! I also made Ann and Han’s sandwiches, which were ham and cheese and punched in the shape of a castle! The Melted olafs were made from vanilla Yoghurt, candy eyes, which I made with fondant, the noses were orange Tic-Tacs and pretzel arms! The back drop I made by threading fishing wire with beads and ending off with a snowflake. I used my circle punch to cut out the discs and attached them to the beads with a glue gun. I made the birthday bunting with cardboard and my daughters name on the cake box is cut from pink felt! The Snow on the top of the backdrop as well as on the table top, I hand cut from white felt – quite cost effective!
