I know this is a late Easter post (or an early one for next year!) but we won’t pass up the chance to feature meaningful homemade parties here in HMP. Lucky little Trey already got two parties prior to this one and this was to be the the third party that Mommy Khaye will host in a span of a little over a week. Deciding to make it a homemade party, of course, made it more manageable. She writes, “It has been by far the simplest one we’ve organized but I could well say that it was a party full of love and merry-making! It just proved once more that successful parties need not be expensive! It has all been about putting in together some little details to set the party to the right mood and also all about the party people who traveled near and far to join us in our simple celebration.” And I couldn’t agree more.
Mommy Khaye shares, “This was our small table of sweets that was ‘fixed again’ by my 6-year-old boy. I arranged it prior but then he said he wanted to help out for his brother’s birthday and how could I refuse such sweet offer? (Some candies, he scattered on the ground!) But it still was a cute set-up, wasn’t it? After all, making meanings and memories is what parties should be all about!” I love how she calmly called it “fixed again.” I probably would have had a nervous breakdown if that happened to me, but she’s right, parties are all about making memories, and now she has a cute little story to share.
